NEW YORK, January 1, 2022 / PRNewswire-PRWeb / – Mediaplanet Announces the Launch of the December Edition of “Prostate & Urological Health”. This campaign will raise awareness of prostate health issues and educate readers on how to reduce their risk of developing serious diseases such as prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men and is the second most common cancer diagnosed in men. Men of color are twice as likely to die from prostate cancer, usually due to late diagnosis. Most men have a 90-99% survival rate, provided it’s detected early enough. While listening to industry experts like the NCCN and PCF, readers can educate themselves on how to take care of their prostate and urological health while learning about new technologies that are making it easier than ever before evaluating their prostate.

The printed section of “Prostate & Urological Health” is distributed within the december 2021 edition of United States Today in New York, Chicago, Carolinas, Los Angeles, Washington DC, San Francisco, Detroit, Houston, Philadelphia cream/Baltimore, Dallas, Pittsburgh/Cleveland, and North /Central florida markets, with a circulation of approximately 250,000 copies and an estimated readership of 750,000. Brian custer, presenter of ESPN SportsCenter, lived a healthy life. He was eating well and exercising regularly, but after achieving a high PSA score after an annual check-up, that all changed. Following his diagnosis of prostate cancer at the age of 42, Brian quickly realized that the fight against cancer was more of a “mental battle than a physical (battle)”. Brian is now using his platform to encourage young men of color, aged 40 and over, to have their prostate checked regularly.

Brian is now in partnership with the Prostate Cancer Foundation and ZERO to raise awareness about prostate health. Together they are making a difference and starting the conversation about the racial disparities that lead men of color to suffer more side effects and even death.

This campaign was made possible with the support of the Prostate Cancer Foundation, ZERO, National Comprehensive Cancer Network, Bio-Techne, Blue Earth Diagnostics, Life Seasons, Center of Black Health & Equity, and the Hampton University Institute of Proton Therapy.
