giga! won the coveted title of “Ecommerce Brand of the Year” at INTERACTIVE-MARKETINGof the fourth annual Asia eCommerce Awards, beating fierce competition from top competitors including Bayer Indonesia, Unilever, Shopee and XIXILI Intima.
The successes of Giga! during the evening are due to its entries in the Best Ecommerce Enablers and Best Use categories, such as Best Ecommerce Customer Service, Best Ecommerce Loyalty Program, Best Use of AI, and Best Use of UI/UX design. The brand won three gold and two silver trophies, for its campaigns, GINO – Giga’s Fully Interactive AI Chatbot, #Ohmygiga Refer a Friend and #gigaSurprises to retain and reward existing and giga customers! Best mobile service in one app. In addition to giga!’s incredible feat, the team also took home silver for e-commerce team of the year.
A tie between Bayer Indonesia and Unilever came second, winning two gold, two silver and two bronze trophies, while the latter won three gold and two bronze trophies.
Two other general titles were awarded in the evening for e-commerce agency of the year and e-commerce marketplace/online retailer of the year.
In a tight race for eCommerce Agency of the Year, DKSH eCommerce came out on top, launching a series of strong campaigns for clients including Emborg, foodpanda, MEDINOVA, LaCorium and Unilever Asia. In total, his entries garnered four gold, six silver and one bronze medals. Other agencies that stood out this year included Entropia, part of Accenture Interactive and Maxis eCommerce and Retail, among others.
The title of e-commerce marketplace/online retailer of the year went to Shopee, beating top competitors such as AS WATSON, Drinkies Malaysia, foodpanda, HappyFresh, etc. In the end, Shopee impressed the judges with its campaign, Shopee 11.11 Big Sale – E-commerce for Everyone, winning one gold and two silvers in the categories Best E-commerce Campaign, B2B, Content Marketing and Best integrated campaign. The company also won a bronze trophy in the Ecommerce Team of the Year category.
The winners were decided by a 30-person jury of experienced digital e-commerce and marketing professionals from renowned brands in the region. The winners of the Asia eCommerce Awards were announced virtually on March 3, 2022.
